Writing Opportunity
Dear Musers Who Matter,
Marlene Bagnull has graciously sent the following writing opportunity:
____________________________________________________________
Call for stories about experiences surrounding the death of a loved one.
There is an exciting opportunity to have your work included in a book of stories (think Chicken Soup for the Soul or A Cup of Comfort) regarding the impact that the death of a loved one had in changing the life of the person telling the story (you or someone else.) Stories should focus on how the process of learning the person was ill through the actual death (and afterwards) changed the person's life. We're looking for stories of God's work in the lives of those who have experienced this, and the turning point it was in their lives.
Stories should be first-person narratives, and 1200-1700 words.
A publisher is close to accepting the proposal, so some stories are needed to complete the final proposal, which will go to the publishing board the first week of November. FAST TURN-AROUND NEEDED. I need to have stories in hand by the end of the day Tuesday, October 30, so they can be edited and put into the proposal. If the proposal is accepted, there will be more time to gather more stories, but the book will only include 30 narratives -- so give it your best work. Writers will be paid for all stories that appear in the book (details once the contract is signed.)
Send stories to:
Becca Anderson

Thanks,MaryAnn; this sounds like a wonderful opportunity, but deadline is rather too soon for me to embark on this. Although, it would have been a great chance to write.
