Christmas Limerick Contest
Dear Musers Who Matter,
I trust you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, filled with our Lord's marvelous blessings.
Our very own Pam Halter has inspired an idea for a Holiday Limerick Contest. When Pam sent me her Thanksgiving Day limerick, I knew I had to share it with all of you (see below). From that limerick came Pam's idea for a limerick contest.
So, I invite all of you to submit a limerick relating to Christmas. The deadline date will be Thursday, December 20, 2007, but you may submit them at any time. On December 21, I will publish all of the entries. The winning limerick will receive a special prize (to be announced :).
To kick off the contest, I am including Pam's Thanksgiving Day limerick below.
Also, because of the Thanksgiving holiday, we did not have our Accountability Saturday for November. So I will be moving it up to this coming Saturday, December 1, 2007. Please send me by Friday, November 30, information on what you had published or accepted in November and what your goals for December will be.
And now . . . here's Pam! :)
Sat down at the table feeling perky,
Then I ate mountains of turkey.
Mashed potates and beans,
Pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
I ended with a sigh and a burpy.
Blessings,
MaryAnn

What a lovely idea, MaryAnn, and Pam, this is such a cute limerick. I will be in touch with you about accountability, MaryAnn.
