I am honored to have been selected as the winner. I was definitely surprised, as
there was another limerick that I thought would win the prize. I think Pam's idea was a good one, and I feel we should compete in different ways throughout the new year. It's a good way to keep us motivated. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all of you on the blog.

Congratulations to Fran! I must tell you that I owe her a huge apology. I thought that limericks were supposed to be humorous and might have given her a "zing" at our last writers' meeting when we talked about the limericks we submitted. I guess the "zing" is on me!
