Important News

Dear Musers Who Matter,

We have two important items today, so please read carefully.

1) ITEM #1:

Our very own John Riddle, fellow Muser and Director of the Delaware Christian Writers' Conference, has sent me the information below to pass on to you. Mark your calendars for the Delaware Christian Writers' Conference to be held on April 18th and 19th.

Lord willing, I plan to attend the Conference this year and encourage all of you to do so too.

John has been a great inspiration to me in my writing walk. He was responsible for giving me the lead that resulted in three published books. John knows what he's talking about and deserves our ear--and our attendance--at the conference, if at all possible. His offer is quite generous. Thank you, John! :)

Here is what John wrote:

"I would like to offer your readers a 'very special price' for the third Delaware Christian Writers Conference that will be held April 18 and 19 at the Word of Life Christian Center in Newark, Delaware (just a few miles from last year's event at the U of D).

Regular price for the two days is $229.....but if your readers e-mail me at johnriddle@sprintmail.com I will give them a discount price of only $159....and the price will be good until January 25.

Check out the conference info at www.delawarechristianwritersconference.com

Space is limited at our new location, so people need to decide quickly."

ITEM #2:

2) Several months ago, I wrote in one of my posts that I had a surprise in store for you and for all Christian writers. Well, that surprise is about to be launched in a few days, and I'm letting all of you in on the secret before anyone else knows about it.

The secret is a new, free monthly ezine for writers called The TopNotch Writer. The tagline for the ezine is "Empowering Christian Writers for the Kingdom of God".

For over a year now, I have sensed a mandate from the Lord to launch an ezine to help encourage and train writers for the ushering in of the Kingdom of God. Although we certainly don't know when Jesus will return, we can recognize the signs.

But whether His return is imminent or not, there are fields out there ready to be harvested. We writers must pray for laborers for the harvest and be those laborers ourselves. Hence, the creation of The TopNotch Writer.

The TopNotch Writer will focus on three major aspects of writing: ATTITUDE, BUSINESS, and CRAFT - what I call THE ABCs of TOPNOTCH WRITING. There will be a short article on each aspect each month. Periodically, I will invite guest authors (including some of you! :), to contribute to the ezine.

In addition, I will be providing lots of other resources for writers - websites, magazines, courses, and a host of other wonderful and inspiring tools to help you grow as a writer.

If you wish to subscribe, you will need to send a blank email to:

TopNotchWriter@aweber.com

I do hope you'll sign up for this exciting new ezine. I would also appreciate your telling all your writer friends about it and encouraging them to sign up too. Thanks! :)

So stay tuned. The TopNotch Writer will be here soon! :) But, remember. You won't receive your copy unless you send a blank email to TopNotchWriter@aweber.com.So do that now before you forget! :)

And that's my "musing that matters" for today. What's yours? :)

Blessings,

MaryAnn

I am thrilled about the TopNotchWriter; I am not home at the moment, so I will send my blank e-mail when I do get home. This should be excellent, MaryAnn. I still miss Day Star.

Congratulations, MaryAnn! I am looking forward to your ezine. :-) I haven't entirely given up on writing yet. I'm not submitting or publishing, but I am doing a lot more writing. Mostly writing to family and friends and some journaling so far, but it is coming more freely. :-) I'm still hoping to someday set up a website and blog, but that will have to wait until we move next month and get settled into our new home. :-) I don't post much, but I still enjoy reading your musings!

I'm signed up! Looking forward to your new ezine for writers. You're right, Jesus is coming soon--I think sooner than even we Christian think.

Waiting for Him,
Dianne
