Living in Victory and Peace
One of the greatest books I have ever read on the Christian life is Hannah Whitall Smith's classic, THE CHRISTIAN'S SECRET OF A HAPPY LIFE. I am currently on my third reading and highly recommend this book as one that will help you understand how to live in continual victory and peace.
Below is a poem from the book. I believe it was written by Ms. Smith as there was no name after it. I trust the poem will bless you.
The entire book can be found online at this link:

"I am only a tiny sparrow,
A bird of low degree;
My life is of little value,
But the dear Lord cares for me.
I have no barn nor storehouse,
I neither sow nor reap;
God gives me a sparrow's portion,
But never a seed to keep.
"I know there are many sparrows;
All over the world they are found;
But our heavenly Father knoweth
When one of us falls to the ground.
"Though small, we are never forgotten;
Though weak, we are never afraid;
For we know the dear Lord keepeth
The life of the creatures he made.
"I fly through the thickest forest,
I light on many a spray;
I have no chart nor compass,
But I never lose my way.
And I fold my wing at twilight
Wherever I happen to be;
For the Father is always watching,
And no harm will come to me.
I am only a little sparrow,
A bird of low degree,
But I know the Father loves me;
Have you less faith than we?"
And that's my "musing that matters" for today. What's yours? :)
Blessings,
MaryAnn

Like small pieces in an enormous puzzle, we are integral to the Master's plan and design - each interlocking with another; at times too small to see the bigger picture demanding our eyes of trust and belief in Him to complete His work with our docile obedience to His will.

Dear MaryAnn,
I first read this book more than thirty years ago! Over the years I've pulled out that old copy (printed on cheap pulpy paper) several times. But it's been a while now...I think I'll reread it, too.
Hugs and Sparkles,
