No Excuses!

March 31, 2008

Why is it that our personal problems always seem far bigger than those of others and--in reality--far bigger than they really are? Perhaps it's that we alone live in our own skin and we alone feel our own pain.

I'd like to share with you a snippet from the life of someone who lives in her own skin with dignity and grace, despite the fact that her own skin is not what the world would consider normal. Be blessed by the short movie below. And let it serve as a reminder to you--as it did to me--of not only how blessed we are, but also of the unstoppable power of the human spirit.

After you watch this movie, you will have no more excuses for not writing.

And that's my "musing that matters" for today. What's yours? :)

Blessings,

MaryAnn

Pam Halter had something to say . . .

I wonder why those of us who do not have problems like that have less drive to achieve? It almost seems like if we had that kind of problem, we would have more desire to overcome it.

Interesting.

Let's all add this to our goals: I will work harder to achieve a more excellent manuscript and a more diligent work habit.

Wow! I agree with Pam. We need to be grateful for our talents and work harder to achieve all that God has in store for us. I believe I miss many opportunities by allowing time to slip by when I could be working on my writing. I pray that I will focus more on the spiritual and not waste time on things of less importance.
Thanks, MaryAnn, for sharing this moving video.

Absolutely amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing this video, MaryAnn. After seeing what this precious child can do with her limitations, I certainly have no excuses. What a powerful "eye-opener"! Blessings, Patti
