What Is a TeleClass?

What is a teleclass? A teleclass, also referred to as a teleseminar, is simply an educational session conducted by telephone. It is a lot like a conference call.

When you register for a teleclass, you will be sent a phone number to call together with an access code to the class. This telephone number is linked to a 'bridge line". A bridge line is a telephone line that enables many people to participate at the same time on the same phone call.

The coordinator of the teleclass has the option of allowing listeners to participate in the conversation or not. When class size is very large, the coordinator can "mute" the participants so that they can hear the speaker but cannot respond. This avoids confusion, especially if dozens of people try to ask questions and go off on tangents. With large classes, coordinators often allow a few minutes at the end when the "mute" option is turned off and participants can ask questions.

Teleseminars are great tools for attending classes in the comfort of your own home. I invite you to attend mine. You'll learn a lot and have fun in the process! :-)
