Websites for Writers

Advanced Writers and Speakers Association. According to founder Linda Evans Shepherd, AWSA is "a professional support group made up of the top 10 percent of Christian women in both publishing and speaking." Certain criteria prevail for joining.

American Christian Fiction Writers. Formerly Amercian Christian Romance Writers, this organization focuses on discussion about fiction writing.

American Society of Authors and Journalists (ASJA). This is probably the best organization for those interested in non-fiction writing.

Christian E-Author. This site is for those authors who have written or would like to publish online or to write e-books.

Christian Writers' Fellowship International. A wonderful organization for both beginning and seasoned writers. Headed by Sandy Brooks, CWFI publishes a newsletter called Cross 'n Quill.

CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speakers Services). Founded by Florence Littauer and currently headed up by her daughter Marita, CLASS trains speakers who want to write and writers who want to speak.

The Christian Communicator. Run by writer and editor Susan Titus Osborn, this site provides information on Susan's outstanding manuscript critique service.

The Christian Writers Guild. Founded by Jerry Jenkins, this organization provides training and services for writers interested in a variety of genres.

Fellowship of Christian Poets. This organization is one of the best poetry websites for Christian poets.

FaithWriters.com
Faith Writers is a for-profit Christian writers' organization dedicated to helping Christian writers grow in craft and exposure.

Forensics and Faith (Brandilyn Collins' blog)

Right-Writing.com. This outstanding website created and maintained by writing expert W. Terry Whalin will provide you with advice and articles to help launch and build your writing career.

Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. This is the organization, par excellence, for writers and illustrators of children's literature.

Spirit-Led Writer. Named one of the best websites for writers by Writer's Digest Magazine, SpiritLed Writer is the brainchild of Lisa Crayton and offers excellent information for all levels of writers.

The Writer. This site is an excellent source of information about all aspects of writing.

The Writer's View. This is an online forum for published writers. It includes a panelist of professional writers, editors, and agents who present topics for discussion. Open only to published writers.

Writer's Digest. Perhaps "the Bible" of writers' magazines, Writer's Digest contains excellent information on all aspects of writing.

Write His Answer. This is a great website for beginning and experienced writers. Marlene Bagnull directs both the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers' Conference and the Colorado Christian Writers' Conference.

Writer's Information Network. Founded by Elain Wright Colvin, WIN publishes a bi-monthly newsletter on the latest trends in Christian publishing.

WriterSpeaker.com. Carmen Leal is a writer, speaker, and marketing expert. Her site is chock full of great information.

The Patriot Post. A great resource for conservative political views.
